*ahem* Friday again

Tonight was a dry Friday due to the fact that someone (read: me) needed to drive the Mooey and Pooey show home. That certainly doesn't detract any of the fun that is the end of the business week! Moo suggested a theme to this week's gathering - underground bars. She even made a list, however, old age has caught on and we only managed to visit three of them.

First stop was Jwow Wine Bar where we had a tinkle of semillion and beer nuts. There was a heated discussion over where dinner should be - ECpot vs. Ning Lan (again!??!).

Mooey and Munabuna. Mooey looking mighty tall.

Boonie and J.

Afterwards, we trotted over to Hyde bar to see CC (happy birthday for Monday!) and Kahoons to convince them to join us for dinner. But it was all in vain *sigh*. Because we couldn't think of any other restaurants, Ling Nan it was (yes, again!). Nothing much to say here except we pretty much ate the same thing we had on Tuesday. Yam duck mmmmmmmmmm

Next bar was M.O.O which wasn't all that crowded (yay) and we settled ourselves into the sinking couches. A grenache was enjoyed here chosen by Moo.

This 'artistic' shot evokes memories of Bao.

Three fresians on the couch. Mooooooooooo

The three Fresians have threatened to post this photo on a gay website.

We decided that Trader Bar was too far, Long Room too wanky and headed off to Golden Monkey instead. Cocktails were the preferred choice and I've forgotten what everyone drank. Cranberry juice for me!

Moo and Boonie sitting uncomfortably on the wicker bed.

RP, after waiting an hour for a taxi, was in dire need for an alcoholic rescue.

J adoring a cushion.

That's another Friday under wraps. Other themes to contemplate include:
  • upper level/double storey bars (Cookie, Madame Brussels, Robot, Lexington, FFour, Lalaland, Kitten club, The Loft, Croft Institute)
  • home theme (Lounge, Long Room, Apartment, Gin Palace, The Loft)
  • and the ever faithful Asian (Dirty Dumplings first, Manchuria, Golden Monkey, Double Happiness, Bambu, Robot, Phoenix - does that still exist?)

OMG Boonie - I haven't seen him for a while where has he been (or have I been out of the loop?)
