Well I bought two Totoro plushies a few weeks ago but back then, they didn't have any susuwatari available for me to continue my money throwing.
Today, I happily handed over some moolah for my little black dust creature after seeing that the shop had re-stocked.
He will join his Totoro soon.

i bought 3 of the totoros from morning glory in sydney (one for alice, although i forgot to give it to her) and htey were 8 bucks!!! they had these as well and i didn't get it!! i got a totoro for me nora and alice..omg..i got ripped..where did you get yours?!?!

It was $3.95. I think the cost of your petrol, materials and not to mention labour would outweigh the $3.95 I threw at the shop assistant.
Though if you are looking for a project, you can make me a few so they can surround my shoes like this:

I got mine at Morning Glory too!!!
But these little black dust spirits are quite small - fits in the palm of your hand..
so I dont think you got ripped off..
