My New Ipoddy

Well if you remember this post, you may recall that my Ipoddy died on me. *sigh* Well, in the spirit of replacing a dead pet, I got a new Ipod! YAY!!!!!!
I have been waiting a while for this Poddy to be released as I originally enquired about it in September by which they had told me it would be available in the first week of October. Well October came and went and it still wasn't here! I asked about it two weeks ago at the start of November and it still wasn't here! Today I finally got my new Ipod! I have decided to call it Shuffy.

I got so excited that I had to put on my Ipod almost immediately. Don't worry, I'm not that sad. I had uploaded some songs on it.

Old Kingdom

Tonight's dinner was at Old Kingdom, a place whose specialty is Peking duck. Usually, this dinner would be at Lygon St at Papa Gino's but we all felt a bit tired of that. Duck it was!

I always kinda thought that their Peking duck was a bit not-quite-like-Box-Hill-honkie-style and it was only upon "researching" on Wikipedia did I find this entry which makes me think it's Crispy Aromatic Duck. Or maybe not. Maybe I just got it wrong from the beginning and the Old Kingdom duck is the true Peking duck. I could ponder about this for much longer but it is a waste of precious brain cells. Why I was looking up roast duck on Wikipedia is a totally different story altogether.

Notable absences were J and Meme. J's excuse was that she needed to shack up in a cheap motel in Adelaide for work (U2 are in town!) and Meme had some family thingy.

I actually didn't bring my camera again *shock horror* but luckily Shaz brought hers. Yay! I just realised that I'm not in any of the photos so I could be lying to all of you about my presence.

The duck in all its glory. We had four in total!

Yetapee and Kahoons were so happy to see each other that they insisted on sitting together. Aaaah true love! Reminiscing about high school days behind the shelter shed.

Yetapee gnawing on a duck drumstick. Kahoons taking far too much enjoyment from his chopstick.

Moo, always either drinking or eating or both!

Trader Bar

Well, sorry for lack of entries but really, nothing has been happening in my little old life. A whole week between blogs! My longest stretch ever! Let's see, since my waffle venture, I have been to work, been home and been back to work *yawn* Here's a relatively boring update.

Tonight was Friday and drinks are mandatory. Well,I was in particular looking forward to drowning my sorrows after a week of back-to-back patients. (Just ignore the fact that I also had to work tomorrow, Saturday.) Now, the problem is, I have no friends left in this town and neither does Kahoons. So only Kahoons and I went to Trader bar after work *sob*

Whilst enjoying an Apple Martini, the party got a bit better with AH and Moo arriving. Moo also brought a little entourage, which included LT. Glenda and Hoon also popped by and we all had a few more drinkies to finish off the night.

Dinner followed at J Cafe, where I had an Unagi rice and then cos we're all old, we called it a night and went home. A quiet night all around with Moo and I getting home by 11.20pm.

Hmmm, well there is no photographic evidence of my night out, because I forgot my camera so you all just need to take my word for it. Hopefully this week will be more exciting cos we have the U2 concert on next Saturday. And maybe a duck dinner.

Waffles

Dear Everyone,

I felt like having waffles and so I went and got some. They were from Max Brenner and were very yummy. I felt sick after eating them but at least I don't feel like having waffles anymore.

The End.

My waffles looking pretty in a heart shape with her friends, strawberries, ice cream and melted chocolate.

One for the girls

*WARNING - NOT-FOR-THE-SQUEAMISH PHOTOS AHEAD*

After a mass email with some girly girls, I decided to have an eyelash perm. I didn't get the maximum curl that Leesh had (just in case it backfired on me) but I'm fairly happy with my result. It is rather unfortunate that it will only last for 1.5 months.

Here are some before and after pics. I decided to not put on eye make up for these photos, I left my eyes RAW - dark circles, uneven pores and all. Do you know how difficult it is to take a picture of your own eye in focus? I took about a hundred shots!! Me lik
e wasting time!

Before perming the left eyelashes:

After perming the left eyelashes. Oh look, I had a change in skin tone too. Prior to perming you could mistake my eye belonging to a man.

The right eye. This photo looks a bit Blair Witchy but I had to hold my camera upside down in order to ensure I was photographing my eye and not my cheek.

I officially have a more hairy left eyelid - the beautician pointed it out! "Did you know you are more hairy on your left side?" Maybe eyelash extensions/additions can be next on the list.

Could anyone write a more pointless blog? I reckon Moo is up for the challenge.
